    back to Macau airport..

checking in n heading back...Posted by Picasa

Something happened in Macau's casino.. I lost my luggage card when I headed out for sightseeing. Damn, n i had to use my substandard cantonese to communicate with the receptionist. It's actually quite a satisfying experience when u can communicate with people in their native language in a foreign country. Thank god it's cantonese n not Japanese or Korean.

When u can speak to them in their language, usually they're more receptive n more willing to help. While waiting for the manager to come n handle the case, i chatted with the receptionist. N she was praising Singaporeans for knowing so many languages, n she even told me which is the best place to take the cab to the airport, the traffic condition etc etc

Not a bad way to end my trip. But it turned out differently at the airport. Our flight back was delayed for about 2hrs plus.. Heck, n in the tiny Macau airport with nothing to shop n nothing to eat, me n WY were stoning on the seats waiting for the damn A320 plane with a Tiger striped tail to appear. We reached SG at like 4am in the morning, both of us totally exhausted. zzzzzz

Conclusion? Great trip, walk until i had blisters.. HK is crowded+small, things ain't really cheap, lots of shopping, great scenery(old buildings/mountains), taxi is perfect if u haf 5ppl, absolutely no parking space n there are very few pretty girls. Overall, i like HK.. I'm really very interested to noe how a normal HKer live his life there. If i haf the chance, i wud love to live n work in HK for a few yrs to see wad it's like..

Damage to the pocket: less than S1200, shopping/hotel/airfare/tickets..

Hopefully, my fate with HK doesn't end here. =)
