Saturday, October 16, 2010 HK DAY 7 Finally, the last day of my graduation trip. It was getting a little tiring, all the travelling, rushing, shopping, eating n photo taking. But seriously, nothing beats waking up in a Disney Hotel. A long day ahead with some final sightseeing in Macau. buffet bfast at disney, juz can't stop feeling joyful -- -- after bfast, cindy still wanna laze in bed... lol disney cartoon in the lobby while checking out on the ferry back to Macau.. received a few SMSes from SG abt the special sem mod during the boatride.. Wad a timely reminder i'm heading home Macau, looooonnng queue -- Casino -- This is the sort of famous place for the Portuguese egg tart -- -- well, nothing special.. can be found in SG anyway the rest departed for the airport, leaving me & WY with a few more hours for sightseeing -- -- -- i haf no idea how old are these structures -- a school in Macau.. girls school i suppose -- -- streets of macau differs alot from HK -- -- -- motorbikes seem to be the main form of transport -- -- -- -- some church -- -- kites lots of mainland chinese tourists ahhh.. after much turning n asking, we eventually found wad we were looking for -- u haven't come to Macau if u don't come here it's actually damn small on contrary to wad i perceived on TV -- overlooking -- -- --- -- this is wad's behind the gate they build stairs for u to walk up behind it smiles on our tired faces -- -- a line of history -- this is the back of it -- -- -- -- -- the tomb totally well preserved -- -- closer look went to the fortress beside it it's Macau's highest ground if i not wrong, discounting the mountains this is Macau the cannons -- -- -- boom!! u can see this hotel/casino wherever u go -- -- WY, too tired to move, leaving me to climb up the fortress by myself -- -- the view up here is great, n it was cold time running out, gave this museum a miss heading back down -- -- -- back to Macau airport.. checking in n heading back... Something happened in Macau's casino.. I lost my luggage card when I headed out for sightseeing. Damn, n i had to use my substandard cantonese to communicate with the receptionist. It's actually quite a satisfying experience when u can communicate with people in their native language in a foreign country. Thank god it's cantonese n not Japanese or Korean. When u can speak to them in their language, usually they're more receptive n more willing to help. While waiting for the manager to come n handle the case, i chatted with the receptionist. N she was praising Singaporeans for knowing so many languages, n she even told me which is the best place to take the cab to the airport, the traffic condition etc etc Not a bad way to end my trip. But it turned out differently at the airport. Our flight back was delayed for about 2hrs plus.. Heck, n in the tiny Macau airport with nothing to shop n nothing to eat, me n WY were stoning on the seats waiting for the damn A320 plane with a Tiger striped tail to appear. We reached SG at like 4am in the morning, both of us totally exhausted. zzzzzz Conclusion? Great trip, walk until i had blisters.. HK is crowded+small, things ain't really cheap, lots of shopping, great scenery(old buildings/mountains), taxi is perfect if u haf 5ppl, absolutely no parking space n there are very few pretty girls. Overall, i like HK.. I'm really very interested to noe how a normal HKer live his life there. If i haf the chance, i wud love to live n work in HK for a few yrs to see wad it's like.. Damage to the pocket: less than S1200, shopping/hotel/airfare/tickets.. Hopefully, my fate with HK doesn't end here. =) HK DAY 1 HK DAY 2 HK DAY 3 HK DAY 4 HK DAY 5 HK DAY 6 |
