So I went down to city after school with a fren to check things out. BTW, I'll be working at the Compaq booth specialised in selling AMD chip based laptops/desktops. Prices are really attractive.. Since all of us will not be free to send him off on Wednesday noon, we had a simple farewell dinner today to "celebrate" him leaving.. Haha!!  Took a ride on Bernice car to get to the eating place  Nice sunset  Tanjong Pagar  Our dinner location  Samuel n Kian Wai.. I think i haven seen Kian Wai since March..  Jess n Les  All of us...  Twister  Samuel itching for some licking action  1st dish, tofu~  Sambal crayfish.. This one is nice..  Some headless fish  Bean sprout with salted fish  Had a few more dishes which i didn't haf the chance to take pics b4 Jessica finished them up.. She's fast... 8 of us but the bill was only $45 for 8 dishes + 8 plain rice.. I think I'll go there again..  A little cake for Samuel  He likes it? Thursday, August 21, 2008 The Co$t of Owning an iPhone 3G in Singapore "Just one year after launching the iPhone, we're launching the new iPhone 3G that is twice as fast at half the price," said Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO. According to SingTel, consumers will have to commit to a 2-year plan to enjoy reduced iPhone 3G prices. The following table has the details: SingTel iPhone 3G Price Plans
These 2-year contract price plans for the iPhone 3G are the first of their kind to incorporate bundled talk time, SMS and data. The plan also includes free incoming voice and video calls. A pertinent question would be: how much would you have paid after the two year period as a result of owning an iPhone 3G? We did the math for you, based on the different price plans. Mind you, they do not include additional charges of exceeding the bundled talk time minutes or SMSes. iFlexi Value: S$1344 (S$56 x 24 months) + S$348(8GB) or S$508(16GB) = S$1692 (8GB) / S$1852 (16GB) iFlexi Plus: S$2280 (S$95 x 24 months) + S$49(8GB) or S$208(16GB) = S$2329 (8GB) / S$2488 (16GB) iFlexi Premium: S$4920 (S$205 x 24 months) + S$0(8GB/16GB) = S$4920 (8GB/16GB) Apple had introduced the iPhone 3G as "twice as fast at half the price". By lowering the price, Steve Jobs hoped that the affordable iPhone 3G would win over even more users. The way we see it, that hope was confined to the United States of America, and not the rest of the civilized world. Given the numbers above, it's altogether too clear that signing up a 2-year plan at this stage isn't at all value-for-money, unless one already happens to be an intensive mobile user to begin with. What's more, SingTel doesn't provide the option to pick up a unit without an operator plan, as the iPhone 3G is only available from them via specific plans. I hate falling sick for no reason. I muz have been attacked by a strong virus. Some pictures from the past week.. Wednesday  School started, n I only found this lecture the most interesting one out of the 5 modules i'm taking..  He took pictures of us, n i shot back with my camera too. Friday  Went HK Cafe for supper with mates  Menu, a new one  Here they are  I had red bean float  Su Feng n Jessica  Jess cracking her brain  The brain cracking game brought by Bernice  Poh oso figuring out the game  Lesley n me  Argh....... I wasn't quite happy with the judge's decision in the olympic games dat was shown on tv  If u realise, everyone was in the pic, except me  pig face  sleepy yawn.....  Once again, the ghost of Su Feng surfaced.. It last surfaced on the day she sent us to changi T3 back in March'08 Saturday  I bought myself a new casing, CoolerMaster Centurion 534  Comes with side window  Inside..  My old casing bought in 2003.. Rust + Dust  insides, cables kinda messy  reason why i need a new casing  Nothing to hide: I gave it a thorough clean up after stripping it to its bare minimum. Maybe I can build a budget rig with it..  cotton buds of dust  Innards  New casing with innards transplanted.. The front plate was removed  Front plate restored  Insides, the cable handling is much more tidy now.. Monday Went to Crystal Jade Restaurant for lunch to celebrate MQ's braces removal after 2 long yrs!!  Roasted duck n roasted meat  bittergourd n pork ribs  mixed veg |
