R.I.P

As of 7.37pm Taiwan time, Taiwan celebrity Xu Wei Lun died from severe injuries after a car accident in the afternoon. Her Mini Cooper was hit by a truck from the back n she flew out of the car smashing the windscreen. It is believed that she wasn't wearing any seatbelt n is rushing for her next working scene with her assistant driving the car.

What a waste.. My condolences to her family. Young n pretty, gone just like that. Life is Fragile

Through to the Final

Singapore managed to beat Malaysia last night in the ASEAN Championship tournament by a penalty scoreline of 5-4. The match as tied at 1-1 after extra time n Singapore goalkeeper Lionel Lewis made amends from his earlier goal blunder by saving the last penalty from a Malaysian player. Well, i must say Singapore is a little lucky when Shi Jiayi almost got his kick saved. Singapore will most likely face Thailand on next Wednesday in the finals. I hope Singapore can win to give me a good birthday present.

After being a workhorse n serving me for 3.5 years, my PC finally R.I.P when the motherboard retired 2 weeks ago. That left me with no choice but to retire the entire system cos buying a new motherboard with a cost that does not justify the old technology is not viable. Crabby

It's the end of the weekend again. Tomorrow will be Week 3 of this semester, which also means it's the start of tutorials n labs. No more honey moon period. It's hard work from now on. Huh.. I tried to cook my mum's favourite chilli crab dish ystd n used MQ as a guinea pig. Hahaha.. She was there taking pictures while i battle it out with the crabs.

On the other great news, Liverpool beat Chelsea 2-0 at Anfield!!! Gosh, I was so overjoyed when i heard Dirk Kuyt opened the scoring on the 4th minute while I was cooking the crabs. Then when i was scooping up the crabs from the wok, I heard Jermaine Pennant double the lead with a fierce dipping volley. Haha.. I was cooking the crab but my heart was at the match. Lucky the crbs didn't get burnt. Great goals n a great performance by Liverpool.

Freeze

The rain has come again n many places got flooded yet again. It's a little bit worse this time cos there was a mudslide in Bukit Timah that caused part of the PIE to close down. Johor Bahru was much worse with severe flood n the residents were evacuated. Temperatures have been low too, with Singapore measuring around 25 degrees celsius on average. Sleeping at night with my windows wide opened felt like a free air-con from the outside. It is so cold till i wear my jacket whenever i leave the house.

Week One in NUS is over with nothing much happening, except that I'm having trouble securing 2nd hand textbooks. A new one can easily cost well over S$40, n it can get pretty heavy if each module has one necessary textbook for reference.

Went out with my army mates ystd for a mini-gathering cum talk cock session. Went Marina Bay for steamboat.. Check out the pics
