Tuesday, August 10, 2010 HK DAY 5 Day 5 started pretty early as we had to pack our loot n leave Kowloon for Disneyland at Lantau Island. The girls bought countless shoes n were having trouble squeezing everything in lol.. It was another chilly day, lovely weather... we had no idea where to eat bfast n couldn't go far, so we settled for this local looking cafeteria juz beside the hotel we haf trouble reading chinese menu.. haiz... -- locals...] luncheon meat+sunny side up with rice... chicken with curry sauce this is mine, i luv this kinda bfast.. i shd be an American.. the girls.. our shared omelete with bacon.. finished our great n cheap bfast n headed for the land of dreams.. i wonder how do these apartment look like inside.. HK, juz like SG, is a port city.. looks like i'm on the pasir panjang viaduct overlooking PSA -- mountain container cranes into the tunnel where no lane changing is allowed n speed limit is 70kmh the bridge i so often see in HK dramas this is oso the bridge dat links the airport to the rest of HK -- -- bridge ending.. n we finally reached~! everything here has to do with Mickey Mouse can't wait to see our room inside... -- even the toiletries are mickey mouse themed our room has such a great view of the night time fireworks.. -- -- time to look pretty for Mickey Mickey bench Mickey bus -- -- -- once u cross this, u will enter a different world.. even the phone booth looks like it's from the cartoon -- there it is.... swee bo?? -- I WAS HERE -- -- -- even this little girl looks like she from the cartoon -- the whole street made me feel like i've juz entered the world of disney cartoon -- -- waiting for the parade -- -- -- -- they're all smiling... guess it rox to work in Disneyland?? -- -- -- chipmunks -- -- -- -- 7 dwarfs -- -- Snow White Cinderella?? -- -- bird -- is this alice?? -- -- -- Under The Sea~~ -- -- Toy Story -- -- the main characters Mickey n Minnie -- streets sign -- -- -- WY n SH became Spacewomen took this space roller coaster in the dark.. LOL, look at the girls' reaction.. -- food.. not cheap ah... some car ride, which was kinda lame.. Cindy with her horn on her head WY SH n John High School Muscial this is fake, there's no taxi -- it was another kiddy ride.. the other rides are so crappy we went for the space thingy again.. n the girls stopped screaming this time round.. n now they all opened their eyes.. cindy even opened her mouth yes, this is the ride.. very nice "taxi" this is so dreamland.. ice-cream break.. it was mickey mouse shaped too.. merry-go-round -- -- went for the Pooh ride... night fell.... n we went for our last ride.. -- -- -- -- -- -- the day ended with a damn long fireworks display.. -- -- -- -- Maybe i'm noob, but i didn't noe Disneyland has daily fireworks juz b4 it closes its doors.. next we took the cab, long trip back to Kowloon to collect our ordered items from a shop n had dinner at the "toilet" place.. tables, chairs, cups, plates were all toilet items.. menu.... fancy ur food on the toilet bowl n urinal?? flush~~~~ the food was actually pretty gd.. -- my camera went crazy.. this was my dinner dessert... HK at night looks real pretty... It was a tiring day, walking+rides+travelling+lots of photo taking.. I finally went to Disneyland, but at 25, they dun fascinate me as much anymore. If i had went there in my primary school days, i would haf been ecstatic. Perhaps I shd go to the Japan or USA Disneyland for a different feel.. But it is a fun place nonetheless, like an escape from reality. Took a loooooong trip back to Disneyland Hotel after our dinner n retired for the night.. BTW, crossing the damn bridge u saw earlier costs HK$30 per vehicle. WHY HUH??? To leech tourists travelling from the airport to Kowloon?? |
