    Germany 0-1 Spain

What a great match with great entertaining football by the Spaniards. In the end, a solitary goal by Fernando Torres in the 33rd minute was enough to settle the match in Vienna. The Liverpool striker capitalised on a mix up between Lahm n Lehmann to chip the ball above a diving Lehmann and into the German net. Spain had won their second major trophy after a 44-year wait and they thoroughly deserved it. Germany was below par today and rarely threatened.

What a fantastic tournament we've had. Holland with their total football in the group stages, Turkey with their never say die attitude, Russia with their young n energetic players and Spain with their delightful passing skills. My appetite for European football has been well fed for the past 4 weeks. Now I can't wait for the new season to kick start in August. For now, the champagne belongs to Spain.

    Germany VS Spain

Almost a month of intense international football n it all comes down to today where two teams will fight it out to determine who will the the Kings of Europe. This year's final is a very much different one for me. Ever since I started watching football in 1997, there is hardly any major tournament with my favourite team in the final. I'm a die hard German fan, a drunk English fan, n recently a newly converted Spanish fan due to the number of Spanish players playing in Liverpool FC.

World Cup 98 - France VS Brazil
I don't support either, but it was the tournament that I started to adore Zinedine Zidane n Juergen Klinsmann. Klinsmann was Germany's top striker back then but it was also his last match of his career. He retired n migrated to California after Germany got eliminated.

Euro 2000 - France VS Italy
None again. Zidane the player of the tournament again when France killed Italian hearts with a golden goal.

World Cup 2002 - Germany VS Brazil
Finally, a team for me to support! Back then, German soccer was in shambles when they were being labeled as boring, predictable n almost mechanical. But Rudi Voeller defied all critics n brought Germany to the finals inspired by their captain Michael Ballack. Sadly, they lost 2-0 to Brazil thanks to the joker hairstyled Ronaldo. *SAD*

Euro 2004 - Greece VS Portugal
I hate Greece, cos they play rubbish football. I hate Portugal, cos it's full of Manchester United n Chelsea players. Surprisingly, I watched the full final n crappy Greece won the cup.

World Cup 2006 - France VS Italy
It was Zidane's last competitive match of his career, n I was rooting for France to win it. Regretfully, things turned out pretty badly with Zidane's infamous headbutt on Italy's Marco Materazzi n France went on to lose the match through penalties. My beloved Klinsmann was manager of Germany in this tournament n he totally revolutionalised the way Germany play their game. I believe Germany will become the true force in international soccer again. One major disappointment was the resignation of Klinsmann after the tournament.

Euro 2008 - Germany VS Spain
I'm right. Germany is back. The likes of Podolski, Schweinsteiger n Lahm has matured since 2006. What surprised me was how Spain managed to come to the final match as well. Spain was well known to be tournament chokers as they always fall short on expectations. This time round, they're back in real business. Germany, the team with the tallest players, versus Spain, the team with the most number of handsome faces. Who will prevail?

How to watch this match?? I support both teams n they're both fighting in the final match. When Fernando Alonso(Spain) n Michael Schumacher(Germany) was fighting for the world championship in Formula One, it was an easy choice. Schumacher of Ferrari was my pick but he lost to the Spaniard twice in the two years they battled.

So who will win tonight? I keep my fingers crossed with my prediction of a scoreline of 3-2 to Germany.

    ICT 2008

Went back to camp today for my annual In-Camp-Training. Seletar Camp brings back quite a lot of bad memories, it's also the place where I spent a difficult 2yrs during my NS. There are a few changes to the camp when I stepped into it this morning, but my good buddies still remain the same, albeit for some which became much fatter, hahaha..

This ICT is going to last for 2 weeks. Not exactly tough, but it's no walk in the park either. I juz hope I return safe n sound amidst the death of NSFs last week.

    PC Show 2008

Busy busy busy.. That's the reason why I haven't been blogging for so long. Had just finished working at PC Show for the past 4days. Phew~!! I muz say it's been a real tough show with very strong competition from other brands n vendors. I was selling Compaq Presario desktops n laptops. This is my 2nd time working at a show in Suntec, n my god, the crowd is getting crazier every year.

I'm almost out of voice after these 4 days of explaining the products to customers at the top of my voice. The money is good, but it's a tough job to do. You have to spend at least 10hrs a day standing while serving potential buyers, n might even have to skip lunch n dinner if u're too busy. It's certainly to test of stamina, strength n patience. Difficult customers juz make things even worse. At the end of the day, u juz wan to sit down n haf a good meal while resting those sore legs. I'm glad dat it's all over now..

Heh, but if u ask me, I'll still do it again in the next show in September if my school schedule allows. One thing is the money, another is the interest. Selling computers gives me a sense of satisfaction as I'm able to convince people to buy my products by explaining to them using my knowledge rather than dirty cheating tactics used by other salesmen.

If u've been to such shows, u'll know how some part time salesperson smoke their customers. One reason is their lack of knowledge, hence needing to bluff their "noob" customers into buying product from them. Another reason is their selfish nature in only wanting to earn the commission n didn't care about the welfare of their customers. So do your homework if u wanna get something in these shows.

Heading down to sim lim square last week to see my usual boss for a job in the show
