Wednesday, August 02, 2006 Curtains Heh, it has been a busy week. Finally, I have curtains in my super hot room. Right now I'm typing in my room n the sun is shining SO brightly at my curtains. It not for it, I think i'll be sweating like a fountain now. Cost of Curtain from Ikea-- Curtain textile: S$25.00 Curtain rod : S$ 5.00 Fixing Screws : S$ 1.50 S-Hooks : S$ 2.50 Ring Screws : S$ 3.95 Rod ends : S$ 1.80 Total : S$39.75 Well, the curtains can't be completed without the help of MQ who accompanied me to Ikea n carried the stuff all the way back to Tampines. She even provided me with the tools for the job. Total cost? PRICELESS!! School is starting in 2weeks' time, but orientation will start tomorrow. It's time to get familiar with NUS' system. Attended the course briefing ystd n oh my, it is really hard to understand how many things i need to do throughout my whole course of 4years in the school. The ULR, UE, program req, common essential modules n stuff. One thing for sure, the the 4yrs is definitely not going to be an easy period of time for me. My course is filled with Chinese nationals n I think I'm really gonna play catch up with these experts. That's not all, half of my course is made up of polytechnic students. Hard to believe huh? Me too. After hearing so much complains from the poly students about the lack of places for them in local universities, it's a shock when i saw the number of hands raised when the prof asked for poly students. Again, I'm at disadvantage here since these students already have a background in programming while I know nuts about it. I guess it's time I study my ass off in order not to disappoint my parents 31st July, Monday The tools i used Done~!! Sent Dad to the airport at night. Another 2 weeks in Russia 1st August, Tuesday SoC Dean's Welcome Tea The door gift -- The LT is big Today, Matriculation Day A senior promoting the NUS survival pack The contents of the pack My matriculation card My first lunch at NUS, S$1.80 chicken rice |
