Monday, July 17, 2006 She's Fine.. It has been an "eventful" weekend! Heehee.. Most of all, MQ has recovered from her illness n had gone to work today after only working for one day last week. Good to see her back in action. My body aches are gone but I was too lazy to go for a jog today, in fact, it was raining for most of the day. I'll continue tomorrow perhaps. My beloved Liverpool started off their pre-season on a right note after beating Wrexham 2-0, with new boy Craig Bellamy scoring one of the two goals. It's a good start for him, n it'll be interesting to see how his partnership with Fowler or Crouch will turn out. Sinama Pongolle is back after being loaned out to Blackburn during January this year. Looks like we're going to have a lot of striking options this coming season. However, the balance of the team is still not complete until the gaffer manage to bring in a right winger to provide the crosses. Harry Kewell will be out for likely 6 weeks into the EPL season but Bolo Zenden has recovered from his knee ligament injury. Apart from that, there isn't much problem in the team. Djibril Cisse is back in France being loaned to Marseille n will see how the deal turns out when he starts playing. His horrific broken foot will have to wait till November to have any chance of playing a game. Hai, the cost of fuel has risen again. If this continues, I think the petrol stations will jack up the prices accordingly. It now costs at a sky high level US$78 per barrel after a weekend of worsening conflict between Israel and Hizbollah guerrillas.. The US stock market may fall drastically tonight(Singapore time) as the situation unnerved traders, who feared the violence could escalate and spread across the oil-producing Middle East. It seems that the whole world is in tension. The surprise rocket launching of N.Korea isn't resolved yet n now the Middle East is in chaos. Sometimes I wonder why god made the problematic region full of the world's most precious natural resource. Why can't it be in Antartica? It could have saved us a lot of unrest. _Crap_ |
