One Month

BIG YAWNZ..... Just got home n I haven't slept the whole night after catching the 3rd/4th place play-off this morning between my beloved Germany n Portugal. The Germans didn't disappoint me n demolished the hapless Portuguese with a top notch performance from 21yr old Bastian Schweinsteiger. This promising youngster scored all three goals, ok maybe not, perhaps just two. The 2nd goal was a freekick taken by him which was then deflected into the Portuguese net by Armando Petit of Portugal.

The match started with both sides playing attractive football. Portugal was a delight to watch with speedy wingers Christiano Ronaldo n Simao Sambrosa running up n down the flanks. The centre of the midfield saw Anderson Deco n Nuno Maniche spraying the passes all around the field. Germany wasn't lacking in any flair either. Torsten Frings was back from his one-match suspension n was displaying his industrious play to the delight of the great 52 000 crowd in the Gottlieb-Daimler Stadium. Sebastian Kehl showed great touches n almost scored with a volley, Bernd Schneider showing his consistency with delicious crosses through out the match, Miroslav Klose n Lucas Podolski created all sorts of problems for the Portuguese defence all night n the attacking minded wing-back Philip Lahm terrorising the flanks with his speedy runs n ball trickery. Michael Ballack was out injured n missed out on the match. Among the 52 000 spectators, I saw another of my favourite German character, Michael Schumacher, the greatest of all time Formula One driver. I love the red shirt he was wearing, it was so Ferrari.

The match was tied at 0-0 during half time but Germany came out firing on all fronts after the break, escpecially player Bastian Schweinsteiger who produced his best performance in this World Cup tournament. Dropped in the previous match due to perceived dip in form, he showed everyone why Juergen Klinsmann chose him in the 23-men squad by scoring 2 marvellous goals n creating another one in the second half. N oh my, this player is only as old as me at 21yrs of age, similar to Lucas Podolski, Marcell Jansen, Robert Huth, Per Mertesacker n David Odonkor. Germany sure has the potential to go far with such promising youngsters. What they need is a good leader, someone like Juergn Klinsmann. I hope he stays on as the national team manager, which I think will not be easy but I'm still hopeful that he'll stay.

It was our first month together ystd. She watched me wash the car n we had dinner at her house with her family. Simple things in life, but I enjoy her company thoroughly. Lucky of me to have found her. She will laugh at me, n I will laugh at her, both of us juz kept "suan-ing" each other. I will called her jolin lookalike n she'll call me white chicken, the list goes on. It's more than comfortable being with her, so much so that it felt more like a year than a month.

Haha, she wanted to watch the match with me but fell asleep beside me almost immediately when the match started n only woke up after the match ended at 5am. How cute huh? Heehee.. I won't mind her doing that when the EPL season starts in August, but I know it'll be too much asking her to sit thru the boring 90mins of football every Saturday night with me. Even if she's not bored, i bet her butt will be swollen cos whenever my team scores, her butt will be beaten by Nemo!! Haha!!
