Heart Break

Life has been great without work. I don't have to wake up super early to catch the crowded train n I can do what ever I like for the whole week. Fantastic~! The weather has been a turn off, hot like an oven both in the day n night. Sleeping without the air-con or fan would be such a torture. Unfortunately, my room has neither of them. So imagine me waking up in the middle of the night all wet n sweaty; sleeping topless is no longer an option, it's a must.

The World Cup is coming to an end pretty soon. I watched my beloved Germany got kicked out by the dirty Italians in the semi-finals on Wednesday morning. It was a heart break. The way Germany lost the match in the last minutes of extra time adds on to the anguish n pain. I could feel it piercing through my heart, for i thought they can go all the way to the finals n lift the trophy. It was not meant to be. The whole country was in mourn n many in tears when the final whistle was blown. I couldn't believe they were out. No matter what, I will still love the great German team n give them my full support. There's still a 3rd placing match to play for n don't forget there's still the Euro 2008 to look forward to.

Went to see my orthopaedic surgeon on Thursday for an assessment on the recovery of my knee. It has healed well n I can pretty much do the same things without anymore pain. The specialist discharged me n I don't have to go back there anymore. It was a long road to recovery. Had the surgery on 22nd Dec, 6 weeks of medical leave, attended 8 physiotherapy sessions spanning 4 months, strapping my knee for a month, n finally I'm now back to who I was again. The scars will remind me what happened back in camp when I suffered the meniscus tear.

That's all folks. Germany will play against Portugal for the 3rd place match, n I surely will stay up the night to catch them in action. It's our first month together today, time flies when u're having fun. How true...
