I Finally can Jog again
Another uneventful day. It is another 3 more days to the Lunar Chinese New Year. I am so excited! Haha, probably becos I’m dead bored at home. New clothes, new shoes n a new start. The mood is setting in. Mum already bought lots of the CNY goodies. My house is so RED!
Made pineapple tarts again today. This time round, I did it in a different way. Instead of the usual type which the pineapple paste is exposed, I wrapped the paste with the dough this time round. Mum made the dough, I do the wrapping. Spent the whole noon doing it. I almost fell asleep wrapping n wrapping. Hahaha! I’m kinda sick of it now. Ate a lot of pineapple tarts again. Each time a tray comes out of the microwave oven, I would test a few of it.
When everything was done, it was close to evening. Looking at the nice weather, I decided to give a try. I went jogging. So, I did all the necessary slow stretching, the warm up n a little massage on my knee. Then, I started walking, then hopping, then I quickened my pace n started jogging! Whew~ I miss this feeling. Initially, I did it slowly, but I tried to pick up the pace. Nope, not yet, my knee is still not ready for the heavy pounding. I could feel the ache once I run faster.
No pain, juz a little tightness at first. However, after about 800m, the ache started to set in. I could bear with the pain though, n continued all the way to my finish point. Covered a total distance of 1.7km in 9min 52sec. This timing is pathetic, but I will improve. My fitness has dropped tremendously too. That is the consequence of inactivity for 2 whole months. Ended my short jog at a fitness station. Did my cool down n re-stretched my muscles. Pulled the bar n worked on my core muscles. Everything ended on a high. I felt good, albeit with a little giddiness n pain in my knee.
Healthy lifestyle, gonna love it.
