How Cruel
All it took was a simple free-kick, a moment of lapse in concentration, n a powerful header to decide the game. I was heart-broken; I felt a sense of injustice. When the ball bulged the net, it was as if a dagger was being stabbed into my heart. I am not exaggerating, that was seriously how I felt when Rio Ferdinand sent a powerful header into the Liverpool net at the last minute of the game last night. The goal condemned the Merseyside club to their 3rd loss of the season. 1-0 to Manchester United was the final scoreline. My beloved team succumbed to their greatest rival yet again.
I can feel the disappointment; I can feel the pain for the whole team, for everyone that is associated with Liverpool. This sucks. It hurts even more when the goal came from the last minute of the game. Gary Neville ran a whole 60yard to taunt the small section of Liverpool fans at Old Trafford last night. I was thoroughly disgusted by that sight. Where is the sportsmanship Mr Neville?
All I can say now is the season is still not lost. Liverpool is 4 points behind United, but is still holding 2 games in hand. We may have lost this match, but we haven’t lost the season yet. There is still a lot to play for. 17 more games to go, 51 points at stake, we will fight on all fronts till the very end of the season.
