13th May, Friday
As everyone knows, SDP lost its foothold in Potong Pasir SMC after PAP finally managed to pry it away from Mr Chiam's clutches after 27yrs. Well not exactly from him since we wasn't standing for election at PP SMC, he went over to to challenge Wong Kan Seng's Bishan-TPY GRC, leaving his wife doing the defending of Potong Pasir.
With juz a little over 100 votes, SDP lost PP SMC, which is quite sad actually. I nv thought PP will be lost, i believe most of the people living there were shocked too. So me, being the wever curious Singaporean, decided to ask a PP fren to bring me around PP for a "final tour" b4 it changes its looks into something else after PAP takes over.
block 108, the 1st block i visted, it's oso the place where Meet the People Session was held for the past 27yrs
seats where people can sit n wait for Mr Chiam to attend to their issues

will this be gone after PAP takes over?
as u can see, the people still do not believe wad they saw. they're still trying in vain to change things
Mr Chiam's table

notes of encouragement
something u will not see in other towns.. One upgraded lift while the other remains the same
very retro looking block board
--
the iconic slanted roof HDB flats of PP
a kindergarten built with the donations of Mr Chiam himself
--
even the lighting grill is something i only remember seeing it as a child
there's this very disturbing fence separating PP from a PAP owned estate
Berlin Wall in Germany, Potong Pasir Fence in Singapore
