Monday, August 13, 2007 Day One Finally, after a long 3-month break, school re-opens today n I'm back to Kent Ridge again to attend lessons. The trip on the train this morning does feel strange, it felt more like I'm going back to work at Jalan Bukit Merah than to study at NUS. Nevertheless, it's still the boring n long journey all the way from Tampines to Clementi. N yes, School of Computing is no more in the Science Faculty, we've finally moved to the former Law School that is beside the Business School. So basically, all my lessons are being held in Business or Arts area. Ah, it feels much better with more pretty girls around. They range from Office Lady looking to those super hot types with low cut tops n short skirts. Of cos, the best thing of all is I'm free from the sucky Science canteen's food!! Fantastic~! No more alighting at the super crowded Buona Vista anymore. Clementi all the way!! School hasn't change much though. Apart from the newly opened Arts canteen, new eating cafeteria at Science n a new BurgerKing outlet, everything remained the same. The guys still spot their over-zealous dyed hair, the girls are still wearing their favourite short jeans skirt or tiny shorts that cover nothing more than juz their butt. Nah, I'm not complaining, they give me a better reason to stay awake during lessons. Haha, juz joking. When u see the same thing everyday, u'll get numb to it anyway. So yeah, my first lesson was about Geographical Information System. Something new n interesting, unlike those stupid Computing modules. My second n last lesson of the day was about Changing Landscapes in Singapore, another Geography module. It makes me wonder, why am I still a Computing student? I finished my day alone, in fact, I was alone the whole day. No friends took the same modules as me, except for the Changing Landscape module. People always say university life is very colourful, but I think otherwise. It's my loneliest days in my education life. My friends in year one all had to take other modules as we chose different Computing streams. So we're all now complaining of being alone in lectures with no one to talk to. Fighting the war alone does need lots of motivation n self morale boosting techniques. Let's see how things go. Time to crash |
