Thursday, July 12, 2007 Harry Potter HP opens islandwide in Singapore today. I'm so looking forward to it since the last part showed the dark wizard coming back to life. So when MQ asked me to watch it I didn't hesitate a bit n even took half day off from work. We happily bought the tickets n watched the film in Plaza Singapura with much enthusiasm. Harry is much older now, a great difference when he first appeared in the Sorcerer's Stone. Hmm, the film started slow, with Harry in London, n he was expelled from school for breaking a rule. OK, i thought it could be interesting. But what was to come next was so freaking boring that i actually FELL ASLEEP for a good 15mins or so n had to be woken up by MQ. I mean, why is no there action n all I was watching were neverending dialogues???!! Ok good, nvm, I'll endure the boredom, perhaps it'll be exciting later in the 2hour film. What I can say is that this is the worse of all HP films, it thoroughly disappointed me. I was waiting for the dark wizard to appear for the whole bloody film, n guess wad? He only came out in the last 5min. CCB, I felt like I've wasted $8, n I think this is definitely not worth it for the whole load of 2hrs of boring shit. I give it 2 out of 5 stars. On the other hand, I finally watch TRANSFORMERS on Monday. Gosh, it blown me away with those CGI. There is excitement from the very first minute to the last in the 2hr film. It's definitely one of the best, if not the best movie so far this year. However, the only downpoint is that the actions scenes are a tad to uncomfortable for the eardrums. Me being a audiophile, I like my action scene loud n full of quality surround sound. But i think it's too loud n the noises are too sharp during some scenes. Nevertheless, it's a great movie! Harry Potter VS TRANSFORMERS = Hyundai Matrix VS Mitsubishi EVO Don't be fooled by the trailer. Watch only if you're suffering from insomnia |
