Monday, February 20, 2006 Joke of The Day Yawnz... I juz woke up after sleeping at 5am the night b4, all thanks to my mum. I had to wait for her to finish her mahjong game n fetch her home in the car. Haha, driving in the middle of the night is cool. I felt like king as there were no cars around me, but i saw the police patrol car. My Sunday was spent in my cousin's house at Simei watching mum play her game, n my night was spent with my friends. Went to Bedok 85 for supper with Poh, Lesley n Bernice. We even saw Kaiyuan there, one of our TPJC seniors. Didn't have much though, only ordered the BBQ stingray. Ok, i have a question. Do I look old?? Cos in the midst of our meal, an uncle came to our table to sell tissue paper. Guess what he said to me? "Buy some tissue paper from me for your wife" said the uncle. I was like: "Huh??!!" He was refering to Bernice as my "wife". What the heck? How old do I look to him? Me n Bernice were like so stunned, we juz stared at each other while Poh n Lesley laughed. Haha, in the end, we all juz laughed it off as a joke. The uncle muz be cock eyed. Ordered some takeaway from 85 for my mum n cousins. Lesley took Bernice's car while Poh took mine n we travelled together to Simei to send the foodstuff to mum. Then, we went to Pasir Ris Park's Fisherman Village to chill n have a drink. Nah, i didn't drink even though the alcohol content was only 5%. I don't like to take the risk, especially so late at night when police patrol cars are lurking everywhere. I juz got my precious license, n i dun wanna get it revoked. Heh.. Chatted till 1am or so, talking about our past JC days n planning a trip to HK in June with the whole kayaking team from our batch. Everything is still tentative. That Bernice is crazy about shopping at Espirit in HK. Haha.. But i have to agree Espirit is freaking affordable in HK, unlike the hiked up prices in Singapore. We went home after that n Bernice sent Poh n Lesley home. So i was left to drive back to Simei alone, with only my music cd keeping me company. Bernice said i drive too slowly. Haha, c'mon, i've still very new on the road, going too fast won't do me any good. So yeah, went back to the Simei condominium n waited for my mum to finish her mahjong game, which ended very late. |
