Sunday, October 26, 2008 WTF Click on the picture above to read the article on a better resolution. 20year old graduate from NTU, and that's the kind of mentality she has. If I'm the father, I'll juz slap her to wake her up. IMHO, her parents failed in the nurturing of her. I bet she hasn't seen the real world, and i pity her eventhough she has lots of cash to burn. Survey Please help me on a survey for my school work. Your effort is very much appreciated. Thank you~ Click Here to take survey Saturday, October 25, 2008 New Criteria Is there gonna be a new criteria for University admission in the future? Both parents muz be university graduates too? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AsL96q4UD-A “That’s the way the world is. If I have explain this, I think I will lose votes after I explain the awful truth. Nobody believe it, but slowly it will dawn on them, especially the graduates, yes. You marry a non-graduate, then you are going to worry if your son or daughter is going to make it to university.” Friday, October 24, 2008 Kumar Been another hectic week, but I'm so bored during lecture now that I decide to blog. Had a guest lecturer for one of my modules on Tuesday, n he's of a non-academic lecturer. His name is Kumar, n he's probably the most non-typical performer in Singapore. He's funny, he's dirty n he's so politically incorrect. But it doesn't really matter, I thoroughly enjoyed the the 2hour "lecture" from him. The class Can u see me? There he is -- Attentive? -- Dat angmo is from Poland Funny? "No no" -- "inverted" Token of appreciation from the school for his attendance Sunday, October 12, 2008 Recession Ah, it's been too long since i came here. Almost forgotten abt it until I watched the Japanese GP on TV then i realised i've gotta do some updating. Oh btw, the Jap GP was won by Fernando Alonso again, with Robert Kubica and Kimi Raikonnen completing the podium finishes. It was a race marred by controversies surrounding Hamilton n Massa. But nevermind, credit goes to Alonso for driving yet another impressive race to take the chequered flag first. Haven't been updating due to lack of time. Assignments, projects n tests, they were all over me. But official school days will be over in 4 weeks b4 the dreaded exams come knocking the door. Guess I'll have to persevere till then. Talking abt school, it reminds me of the economic situation both locally as well as globally. The Friday news shocked me when I was travelling to school on the bus. TVmobile was showing Channel News Asia n it has become official dat Singapore economy is in recession. The result of the piece of news? Crash of the STI, dropping a whopping 154.34 points or 7.34%. I think I have alot to fear. This recession looks like it's going to be worse than the one in 1997/1998. With inflation at such a high rate, recession is the last thing u want. Retrenchments, low wages, less customer spending etc etc. I totally hate dat. N wad will happen if the recession is still ongoing when i graduate in 2010? This sucks; bleak unknown future. I await tomorrow morning to see what is the situation in the stock market. One of the last good meals?? This was taken during MQ's birthday when my parents treated her to dinner Cold dish Fish Scallops Deer meat.. There were few more dishes, but was too hungry to carry on taking pics I went queueing up at Courts today to buy a 4GB thumbdrive at $9.90. But was 2 people too late Bought a new graphics card a week back. nVidia 9600GT Golden HSF Old VS New.. Won't be keeping the card for long though, juz bought it to try n play around then sell it off. Needs to tighten the belt with recession clouding over me. |
