Sunday, May 14, 2006 Thank You MQ... It was work on a Saturday, tiring as usual. After finally fixing my PC the night before, I played with it till the early wee hours, depriving myself of precious sleep. So I overslept n had to rush like a mad dog to work at Novena. Lucky I was on time. It was unusually busy on a Saturday n I was really busy packing n sorting out the drug returns. My army mates all failed to meet up to visit Weiliang in the noon. Heck, I'm actually quite pissed since I already asked them a week ago. Hope Weiliang is doing better now after his knee ligament surgery. It's no joke I must say. Mine was a torn meniscus, which wasn't as serious as u can see me jumping n running by now. As for him, it'll take him at least a year to regain full mobility if he works hard on his rehabilitation. This is what the army can do to u if u're not careful. Injuries, accidental deaths etc etc. So yeah, with the visit called off, I headed home n slept on the train all way to Tampines. MQ got hooked by the "Piao Yi" MTV I put up on my Friendster page n wanted to watch the film. Since I have the DVD with me, I asked her over to watch it with me. N wow, she gave me a good surprise with a birthday cake! It was neither my nor her birthday actually. Hers is still 4months away while mine was already over. I was really touched for what she did for me. It was something simple, but it meant a lot. Haha, I still remember mine fell on the third day of Chinese New Year this year n everyone was busy visiting n collecting red packets. No celebrations for me, n since most shops were closed, I didn't have a birthday cake as well. Well, my wonderful kayaking mates did come over for a while to play mahjong with me n Kian Wai stayed till night time playing NFS:MW on my PC. N they bought me the gorgeous Lego Ferrari as well. MQ fell in love with car drifting after watching Initial D. Ah.. She kept saying how cute Jay Chou was in the movie. Bleah.. Haha, the movie was screened last year June n there were so much hype about it. It was a surprise she told me she haven't caught it yet. Heh, sent her home in the evening, trying to re-enact the way Jay drives in the film. Haha, she laughed n said "You cannot make it la!" Well, at least I can drive now. Still remember how tempted I was to drive a car after watching the movie last year but I don't have a license. Went to fetch mum after that n went for dinner at Bedok85. Caught the FA Cup Final at st71's coffeeshop afterwards. Once again, thanks a lot MQ. U made me speechless... =) |
