Sunday, March 05, 2006 Bernice Chose The Ferrari Busy day I've had, all thanks to the Ferrari. Woke up early, sent mum to work, n i came back to wash my Sunny. It has been a long time since it bathed. Today was the 1st time for me washing a car, previous car washing were being done by dad. I took a total of 90minutes, cleaning every corner of it. When it was done, the shine on the car made all the effort worthwhile. Then, i started on the Ferrari lego model. My teamates bought it for me as my birthday gift, but it was chosen by Miss Bernice. N oh my, she really know how to choose. I wanted an Mitsubishi Evo VIII but she bought the Ferrari F430 Spyder. Haha, but i think it looks damn beautiful. Gd taste. She really thinks like a guy(oops, don't hit me). When i opened up the box, it was 12noon sharp. Ok, fine, i happily fixed part by part, refering to the thick manual provided in the package. Followed the instructions carefully n gave it all the patience i have. 2hrs later, it was only half done. I realised fixing up the parts is pretty easy, BUT finding the small little parts in the midst of hundreds of them is a painstaking task. 2pm, i took a break n went to fetch mum back from work. Continued with it when i got back at 2.45pm. Slowly, piece by piece, i'm starting to see the shape coming out. Another two hours later at 4.45pm, it was finally DONE~!! Heck.. So many hundreds of pieces of lego makes up one Ferrari F430 model. My neck is stiff n my back aching. Sitting on the floor n bending over to make the model had strained them. It's quite impossible to do it on the table due to the large number of lego parts. Looking at the model, i smiled. How cool it looks. My favourite colour, my favourite car, my favourite lego toy when i was a boy. PuRRfect! It may be hard to fix it up, but it's all worth it. The 4hrs spent on it is justified. I shall put it in my Sunny if possible. Evening, had dinner with my cousins n nephew. It was a simple treat by my oldest uncle on his birthday. Ate at a Hougang coffeshop. Food was average though. I drove there, making it the furthest i've driven. The previous record was driving back to camp at Seletar. Hit the highway, high speed cruising is fun. I hate traffic lights, cos they will always show me the red when I'm nearing them. Janice can be the witness. Monday tomorrow, time to go get my new passport. Flying off to Phuket soon... |
