Tuesday, January 31, 2006 Fowler is Back! Oh my god, this must one of the most sensational transfer ever. I could not believe my eyes when I saw the news a few days back. Robbie Fowler, the prolific striker so affectionately called GOD during his Anfield days, is back at the Merseyside Club. The gafer, Rafael Bentitez, has signed him on a 6 months contract for free from Manchester City. N oh my, his return has created such a big stir in Liverpool. He was being adored by the great Liverpool fans during his time at Anfield, scoring 171 goals in 330 matches. He ruled the scoring department of Liverpool during the 90s, until Michael Owen came along in 1998. Owen & Fowler, such a deadly partnership when both were fit. But sadly, that was rarely the case as Fowler has had bad problems with his ankle n Owen with his hamstring. When i started watching English Premier League back in 1996, Fowler n Collymore caught my eyes, not forgetting the speedy Steve McManaman n sauve Jamie Redknapp. This whole group in the Liverpool team were being called the Spice Boys. Haha, that was due to their rise in popularity coninciding with the Spice Girls. They played exhilerating football, an all out attack managed by then Roy Evans. How cool it was. That was how i started supporting Liverpool, unaware of them being the most succesful English club in history. I adore Fowler, his sweet left foot, his record hat-trick in the EPL timing of 4min 33sec, his cocaine sniffing celebration against Everton n his ever so natural finishing in front of goal. He can be said is the 1st footballer i idolise. So, imagine how i felt when he left Liverpool back in 2001 after helping the club to a cup treble in 2000. Heart-broken is an underrated way to describe how i felt. Watching him scoring for another club made it worse, for he belongs to the red shirt. Now that he is back, i am more than happy to see him put on the famous red shirt again. This feeling is so weird, seeing one of Liverpool old son coming back home. Yes, he may be older at 30 now, but his passion for the club is still burning furiously. Just look at the transfer process, it only took 24hrs, the fastest in the EPL i had ever seen. He was so eager to come back, he would probably had played for free juz to listen to The Kop chanted his name again. How sensational this can be. Check out this video. I almost teared looking back at the memories. I will never forget great players, n one of them is The God, Robbie Fowler. Robbie Fowler Great to see him back on the Liverpool shirt // With Mr Benitez(left red) n Stevie Gerrard(right most) Stretching. Show them what u've got, Robbie I am finally 21 2nd day of CNY is over, another tiring day. Stayed at Hougang for the whole day, but I went three different houses, all of them belonging to my cousins. Alright, most my cousins are damn old, n most were married with children. Lucky they were not around the same age as me, or else, everyone will be asking where’s my girlfriend. Sadly, some of them were still asking me today “where is Kimberly?” They looked so surprised when I told them I am single. Bleah, being single is not a sin leh… My face is being peppered with lots of pimples n black heads. Heck, muz be the load of junky heaty food I ate during CNY. I NEED LOTS OF WATER! Never ending Chocolates n bak gua(roasted pork) surely did not help. I think I gonna go gulp down a few glasses of water b4 I sleep tonight. Boo! Played blackjack today n won some money. Haha, my luck is seldom so good. Cool. But this year’s red packet money is pathetic as usual. It is only able to cover 25% of the 400bucks I spent on new clothes n shoe. It is fine, I prefer to earn my own money anyway. Check out the video of our "Lao Yu Sheng" Kids My youngest niece, little Tao Ying Yoohoo~ My cousin wif her husband Wad's Parco looking aT?
