Asian Busniess: Japan�s 2nd largest carmaker, Nissan Motor Co., is facing dropping sales in the US as high fuel prices is stalling sales on big trucks n SUVs. Things got worse when Nissan is slow in introducing new models to the market.

Today, Wal-Mart�s ASDA discount chain is struggling to hold its own against another supermart giant, TESCO, who is the No.1 player with US$51.3b in sales in Britain. In IT, German chipmaker Infineon Technologies is losing out in the chipmaking world as it�s expected to post a loss of abt US$267m for this yr on sales of US$8b. With Infineon technologies lacking the scale n lower costs of its rivals, they may be forced to tighten its focus by either selling off their chipmaking unit or merging with Taiwan�s Nanya Tech Corp.
The United States: This holiday season, Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has decided to gun for the nation�s 2 largest consumer electronics chain, Best Buy Co. n Circuit City Stores Inc. They had made revamps to its numerous mega stores n added a slew of high-end products, from Sony LCD TVs n Toshiba laptops to Apple iPods. The best of it all, it�s offering super low-cost extended warranties to its electronic products-less than 50% of the cost of warranties in its 2 largest rivals.
