Wednesday, November 23, 2005 Today is the 200th day since we broke up. Hai.. Enough said, don’t feel like bringing up the sad memories. I left camp today feeling a little sad. I don’t know why. I have always wanted to get out of the bloody Seletar camp all my army life, but I felt a reluctance to leave today. It’s only then I realized that I’ve grown pretty close to the people I’ve been living with in camp for close to 2 yrs. The various funny characters in my platoon, where we are all equal n suffer the same sorry fate. We get punished together as one, eat as a big family n sleep in the bunk like close brothers. Yes, there may be occasional conflicts, but we will always forgive n forget. The super lame jokes we say, the criticizing of each other in a joking manner n all the friendly fighting, they’re all so unforgettable. We all may be 20 yrs old, but we behave like 12 yr old little boys in camp, fooling around n laughing like some crazy kids. Don’t worry, we’re still the very capable soldiers that protect the nation. We know when to get serious n when to have fun. Really, everyone is juz so relaxed. There’s no such thing as politics n brutal dogfights within the platoon. Heh, it’s not the end though. I’ll still go back to So yup, that sums up my day. I’m having a physiotherapy session tmr in Selarang camp at Changi in the morning. Lucky I don’t have to travel far. Another driving lesson for me in the early noon b4 going back camp for the celebrations. I’ll be back home really late tmr. Hopefully I won’t drink too much. No worries actually, cos I hate beer. Haha.. |
