Wednesday, September 21, 2005 Yeh~! I’m back home for my long break. I’m so relaxed, full of freedom now. No worries, no tough physical trainings n most of all, no shit work to do, at least for the next 11 days. Haha… It’s been so long since I feel so ‘loosen’. The happiest thing to happen today was the returning of all my M16 rifle accessories to the storeman. No more rifle cleaning kit n rifle sling. What does this mean?? NO MORE GUARD DUTY!!!!! Wahaha.. I felt so happy after returning the accessories that I ran around the bunk, shouting “No more guard duty loh!” It’s hard to understand my joy. I don’t have to sleep in the smelly guardroom that is filled with blood thirsty mosquitoes. N my duty will become only once a month, instead of twice or thrice a month. Life can only get even better now. Good luck to the company that’s taking over the guard duty, have fun prowling the gigantic Seletar camp. Just finished watching Charmed. Leo(Brian Krause) is finding hard to adapt to a mortal’s life cos he used to have magical powers, until last week’s episode when he was transformed back to a mortal. No, it’s not that he’s unhappy to be a human. He has always wanted a normal life with his wife Piper. However, Piper is still a witch with magical powers whereas he has become a mortal, n that makes him vulnerable to demons’ attacks. That’s where all the conflict comes in between the couple. Who is to protect who now? Hmm, when u hope to be something n that happens, but u have difficulty in adapting, isn’t it ironical? When I was young, I always wanted to grow up quickly n be an adult, so that I can do what ever I want. I’ll be hitting 21 in 4 months’ time. It’s now then I know the complexity of adult life. I realized that being an adult isn’t that easy n simple. With more power come greater responsibilities. Haha.. Now I wish I can be a child again, no need to worry about making decisions. Being young n ignorant is blissful. In the news, everyday, 3 Singaporeans die of lung cancer. 90% of lung cancer patients are smokers. Not a surprise to me. Having seen so many smokers in the army, I know how hardcore smokers smoke. Tobacco, a murderer. N people are stupidly happy to be murdered by it. Even the National Cancer Centre of Singapore is urging the government to ban tobacco products altogether. It just shows how serious the situation is. Yup, my plans for the next 11 days at home—give my room a new colour. It has been in the same colour for the past 7 years, guess it’s time to have a refreshing look. |
