Mothers' DayYstd was Mothers' Day, the day when restaurants/florists etc etc raise their prices n happily chop the children n fathers. I'm slowly starting to hate these kind of special days when everything is commercialised. Valentines' Day, Fathers' Day, Mothers' Day etc.
To me, being nice to my mother on a daily basis is the best gift I can give her. Help her with household chores when she feels tired, cook meals for her when she's busy working n bring her out on the car to places where there's good food when she has the craving for certain food. That to me, is what I call the real thing.
I don't believe in being extra special nice to my mother on ONE particular day of the year, then turn a deaf ear on normal days when she complains she's tired or she needs help in something at home. It's easier to be nice on ONE day than be nice on the full 365 days. If you want, everyday can be Mothers' Day.
N so we went for a meal at night to celebrate the occasion.
