Yes, it’s all over the news. The women had all came out complaining that they were molested during the festive season. Most of it was during countdown parties at Orchard Road during New Year Eve n Christmas Eve.

Apparently, the molesters operate in groups in the super crowded parties. They made use of aerosol foam sprays to blind their victims temporary while they happily groped the poor woman’s body parts. When everything was over, the helpless lady wouldn’t even know who violated her. However, many were sure it was the massive crowd of “banglahs” at the party that carried out the deed. To my overseas readers, Singaporeans use “banglahs” to describe dark skin foreign workers as a whole. This group of foreigners normally comes from Banglahdesh, India n Sri Lanka.

Hmm… All I can say is this is a very normal. The girls should all know well enough this kinda thing will happen in crowded places, especially during these kinds of parties where the predators all appear to have their “meals”. To me, I think those girls who wore skimpy outfits deserved it. They have nothing to complain about. If they know they’re the lamb, why walk into a cave full of tigers? U wanna get eaten up? If they wanna have fun, then they should be prepared for what’s waiting them during these occasions. Learn to protect yourself. Well, if u can’t, then celebrate with a group of friends u trust at a quieter place instead of heading down to these parties.

Unless you know how to protect your own modesty, avoid such parties. U don’t want to end up crying when u should be celebrating happily.

I’ve had such experience during those damn crowded IT Exhibitions. Sometimes, while I was jostling through the crowd, I accidentally brush against a girl’s body. So ya, just as I expected, she gave me the dirty look. I said sorry immediately of cos, if not, I think I’ll end up with the police.

In the newspapers’ forum, u start seeing calls from some individuals to the authority to totally ban aerosol foam sprays in these parties. Worse still, some even asked for an All SINGAPOREAN Party.

WTF?? It’s bloody stupid I think. Will banning the foam sprays deter the compulsive molesters? A BIG NO! They will always have others ways. I simply laughed when I saw the “Singaporeans-only event” letter on the forum. What was the writer thinking?

Are u going to ban camera handphones altogether in the train when women get their sensitive body parts taken by the cameras? NO.

Are u going to ban women from wearing skirts during these parties since they’re more vulnerable to the molesters acts? NO.

Sometimes, I think these people should juz get on with life. The Singapore government is not some kind of joke, banning everything. If u think Singapore can ban anything since they’re the only country in the world to ban chewing gums, then u’re wrong.
