Felt really happy this morning when I woke up. I have no idea why, but I guess it’s the bright sunshine that brightened up my mood. It’s the 27th today, the 5th last day of year 2005. Hehe, I can’t wait to chase away 2005. Mum fell sick ystd. Such a poor thing. She n Dad are still having a cold war. I knew this day would come when the car was bought. They quarreled quite badly over some car matters. Well, I couldn’t be bothered anyway. It’s such a norm to me. I can get really scared when I was young, but now, I‘m numb. Haha…

Went for physiotherapy this afternoon at SGH. It’s the 1st time I leave house myself after my surgery. I can walk better now, but is still unable to put maximum weight on my left knee. I was really afraid of falling, cos if I do, my knee is gonna need another surgery. So, I walked really carefully. Luckily I managed to find a seat on the train instead of standing all the way to my destination. It was a long way to Outram Park. Mum had actually planned to go with me, but looking at her illness, I told her to rest at home.

The physiotherapy session was good. I got to do new strengthening exercises. My knee still has a sharp pain when I exert too much force, but I can bend it more now. it was kinda weird. The physio clinic’s physiotherapists were mostly females. I think 95% of them are females. Yep, mine was a female, an experienced one, judging by her older age. Haha, nah, she’s not VERY old, but compared to the rest which look like fresh graduates, she’s considered quite “old”. I tried something new at the clinic thought. There was this little device that sends electrical pulses to the muscles n make them contract. She used it on my thigh muscles. Oh hell, it was freaking painful during the 1st three contractions. I had to grab the edges of the bed to get over the pain. Each contraction lasts for 10 seconds with a 40 seconds interval. Thank god after the 1st three, my muscle was conditioned n didn’t feel as painful anymore.

The whole session lasted for about 2 hours. I’m gonna go back again on the 9th Jan. I can’t wait to regain full fitness to be able to start running again, n yes, also going for a spin on my bike.

This Thursday will be TPJC Band alumni’s performance. I want to go, but will u go with me? I doubt so…
