Ah… I’m tired.. Left home at 8am ystd n only came home at 12pm today. Heh, was damn busy. 1st of all, I passed my final theory test! Breathed a huge sigh of relief when I saw the big “PASS” word on the LCD screen. Final theory test has quite a high percentage of 1st time taker failures. So, I muz be pretty lucky to pass on my 1st try. So far so gd, everything has been smooth. Now I have to finish my driving practical module 2 b4 I can book for my final practical traffic police test.

Had 2 driving lessons ystd. I have been having the same instructor for the past 5 lessons. Haha, knowing me better, he can relax while I drive n kept talking cock to me. I can finally drive the car right from the start of the lesson, out of the car park. In the past, my instructors had to drive the car out to the driving circuit b4 passing the wheels over to me. Best of all, I can park the car well after the lesson ends! I haven’t even learned the car parking module yet. Hmm, I guess when a person is interested in what ever he/she is learning, he’ll pick it up very fast. Haha, but my instructor still said I drive like a bulldozer with the way I change lanes n over take other cars.

My JC gd friend/kayaking team mate, Poh Siang, called me in the noon juz after my 1st lesson. He wants to get a new com! Wow, that’s the fav quote from my friends, cos that means I can get to play with new PC gadgets, w/o me spending the money! Went down to Sim Lim Square after my 2nd lesson with him to assemble a new com for him. I chose the parts, he pays. Hehehe… I love to do that. Ok, I helped him save quite a lot. A new powerful 64bit AMD processor powered PC cost him only S$1200.

    Specs of the PC:-

MSI K8N Neo nForce4 mother board
    AMD64 SC939 3000+ Processor
    1GB dual channel Twinmos RAM
    160GB Maxtor SATA Hard Disk
    LG 16x Dual Layer DVD+/- R/RW Writer
    Pinnacle PC TV Card
    ATI Radeon X550 256MB PCI-Express graphics card
    Windows XP Home operating system

Headed down to his house after assembling everything n helped him out with the software stuff. I can’t believe his old com is spoilt. We assembled 2 sets of it with the same parts 2 yrs ago for S$1500 each n mine is still running as strong as ever. I muz say his new PC is way cool… The 64bit processor is freaking fast!! Boot up only took less than 10seconds!! Fixed his 5.1 surround sound speakers as well. He told me he has been hearing only from 4 of the 5 satellite speakers. Gosh, spent so much money on it 2 yrs ago n now then he tells me this prob. Nevertheless, I resolved it n he can now enjoy full surround sound while watching DVDs. It was already 2am when everything is up n running, so I stayed over at his house.

Guess he’s happily playing his PC games now. Took his old PC home n I’m going to troubleshoot it later. No way can it spoil so easily. I shall revive it! I’m juz a hardware man who love to fix computers.

Dad left for Germany juz now. He’s going to Frankfurt this time. He’ll be away for a week or so. When he’s back, he can go take the Sunny home! N ya, I was so shocked when he said he’ll sponsor me a LCD screen for my PC. Wow, the world has changed indeed. I think I shd go buy lottery today. Maybe I’ll strike it. Such a rarity to hear the word “sponsor” from him; rarer than once in a blur moon.

Ok, I shall go check out Poh Siang’s old com now. Be back with the result later. =)
