Yawnz, woke up at 5.30am this morning to go for the out camp run at Esplanade Park. 5km, CO led the whole battalion to run in cadence for the 1st half of the run. He let us run at our own speed for the 2nd half. The place really reminds me of my JC days when I was rowing my K2 racing boat. The Singapore River, the Marina Promenade n Kallang basin, not 4getting the Sheares Bridge. This whole area holds a very special memory for me. The Esplanade, where me n her kissed for the 1st time, where we last took lots of pictures together b4 my enlistment, n where we would slack at the Esplanade Library having short naps. All these memories juz flashed past my mind this morning when I was running along the coastline. My left knee was aching, but I didn’t feel it till I stopped at the end. My mind was temporary fully filled up by her during the run n that makes the pain unnoticeable. CO talked to the whole battalion after the run on the upcoming changes in the unit. Our job scope is going to expand, co-operating closely with 36SCE in future bomb n CBR sweeps. That’s all I can reveal, any further information n I’ll have to go to jail.

The talk lasted pretty long, n we saw lots of tourists walking past us. They were all so fascinated, kept looking at us, as if they’ve never seen soldiers b4. Ha, after the talk, we had a short National Education Tour around the park, where all the War Memorials were introduced to us. Went Suntec after that to have a meal with my platoon mates. We were all famished after the 5km run. Saw my TPJC senior, Darius, at City Link Mall. Guess he’s going to study for his upcoming exam somewhere in the city. Walked around Suntec after our meal b4 heading home in the noon. Felt weird though. I was wearing this super short running shorts walking around Suntec, n everyone was looking at me, wondering where I came from. Haha..

Home, the house looked damn messy. Mum has been playing mahjong everyday n the housework was piling up. Alright, since she has to work n cook for the family, I’ll help her clean up the house. I like my house to be clean n tidy, can’t stand the messy sight. So yup, vacuumed n mopped the house. Job done, I “collapsed” onto the floor, shacked out. It feels good to see the house clean. =)

Friday is over, weekend is here. I’m staying home, not going anywhere. I’ve been going out everyday this week; it’s time for some rest I think. Can’t wait for my next driving lesson, I miss the gear knob…
