Saturday, November 12, 2005 Alright, for the benefit of my overseas readers, if u wonder what the heck is the song on my blog, it’s actually a song sung by the famous Taiwanese singer, Jay Chou. It’s a song in the film, Initial D, starring Jay, Edison Chen n Shawn Yue. Here’s a brief synopsis of the film. For five years, 18-year-old Takumi(Jay Chou) has been delivering tofu in his father's obsolescent Toyota AE86 every morning. Not only has he become a good racer, but he has also unwillingly perfected the art of drifting. He was never an aficionado of hill racing until he is asked to drive this AE86 in a David and Goliath race against Night Kid's(Shawn Yue) GTR. A glorious but unexpected victory awakens the competitive genes in his blood, while his overnight fame inevitably leads to hellraising races one after another, each one more perilous and exciting than the previous one Below is the lyric of the song. I’ve somehow translated it into English. Hopefully it’s accurate enough. I love this song cos of its rhythmic beat n meaningful lyric, which is so appropriate for the movie… 作词:方文山,ST |
