Half day given by the new OC (Officer in Command) for us to rest more before the 21km AHM run on Sunday. Home at last, it has been a long week. IPPT, live range shooting, change of OC plus loads of shit work. I was lucky to have gotten a silver for IPPT on Wednesday. Forced myself to get over it even though my knee hurts like hell during physical activities. Haha, pretty proud of myself. Slacked so much for the past few months n I still could run a silver timing for my 2.4km. For your info, I run like a tortoise. Saw those who slacked with me lagged behind me during the run. I’m glad I could still feel my knee after the whole test.
Went to see the camp MO after the test. Can’t stand the pain anymore. This is what he had deduced…
-General Condition Well
-Vital signs stable
-Tenderness over left knee medial joint line
-ACL/PCL/lateral collaterals grossly intact
Probable left knee medial meniscal injury
Sheesh, it sounds scary. He booked me an appointment with an orthopaedic surgeon at the Military Medicine Institute. But like all appointments, it takes ages. I had got the date of 21st Oct. That’s more than a month away!! Kaoz, I’ll juz go to the polyclinic on Monday la, dun waste time. The pain is no joke. Guard duty tmr somemore. A crippled guard, seen b4?
Had my last live firing range ystd. It’s combat shooting this time round. Thought of getting a marksmanship for this one, but it was so much more difficult than ATP (Advance Train-fire Practice), in which I got the marksmanship badge n 200 bucks. Combat shooting is a team effort, whereas ATP is individual effort. Oh well, another 200 bucks down the drain. But at least I’ve got the money for getting a silver in IPPT.
Cleared my IPPT n range. It’s as good as waiting for ORD now. There’s nothing more left to do liao. It’s time to slowly clear my leave n off. Countdown: 187 days to ORD
