Damn, another person died today due to dengue fever, making the total number of deaths this year to 12. When will this ‘epidemic’ come to an end? Even Malaysia is being affected now, with JB n KL as the most seriously hit areas. I’ll hate to see another SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) situation. Life almost came to a halt during the SARS period in 2003. It’s weird isn’t it? Singapore has the best precautionary measures against dengue mosquitoes in the world, n yet we’re the worst hit. The climate is just so suitable for these pest to breed n create havoc, claiming lives along the way. I wonder how many more victims they gonna claim this year before they die down. No one knew how dengue came about in Singapore. In fact, the 1^st case was only reported just after WWII ended here. Screw these little flying insects. How did all of u manage to survive when we’ve done so much damage to your natural breeding grounds? I’m still puzzled.
