Morning, book in to listen to CO give us a talk. Nothing much actually. He talked about the recent deaths in the SAF. 5 deaths within 2 months, the latest coming from a first sergeant regular commando. He died while rappelling from a hovering helicopter n fell a whopping 20metres. Like i said before, all the deaths occurred on Wednesday. Freaky isn't it? The SAF is getting cold feet now. The chief had called for a "training timeout" for 2 days. Misleading right? Haha.. It doesn't mean all trainings will be suspended n we stay in bunk. What he meant was for us to discuss with our commanders to see how else we can reduce further risks during training. I have to admit, all these recent deaths were simply very unfortunate. Unlike the commando dunking case, these deaths were what we can't do anything much. On the other hand, the commando who died in the dunking is what we call deliberate putting danger to one's life.
Ah well, the talk ended 30min later n we booked out after that. Noon went Bishan Park for an 11km run. For once, the weather helped! Hehe, it rained juz before we started warming up. It rained so heavily that the run was cancelled. Woohoo~! Saw a lot primary school kids at the park. They were having some treasure hunt thingy. Their voices were so high pitch, i could hardly bear with it. Haha.. The journey home was so long n cold. I was drenched, yet again. Hope i dun fall sick sia..
In the news, NKF had appointed a new CEO. His name is Gerard Ee! Wah, my surname leh.. Hai.. This whole saga, i think the ones who suffered the most muz be the patients. Yes, u can feel angry, but spare for a thought for the sick at the end of the day. A lot people are cancelling their monthly giro donation. I'm not doing it, cos i noe the patients need help.
I'll have to wake up very early tmr morning to get The Straits Times. I HAVE TO SOLVE THE PUZZLE!!! It'll be the last day n it's getting exciting. I muz find out where they're putting the Mazda 6 car. :-p
