Sunday, June 19, 2005 Sunday morning, 4.30am, i dragged myself out of bed, changed into my Smart 4 n get ready to work. I could hardly open my eyes, my head was aching due to the lack of sleep. Less than 10 hours of sleep in 2 days, killer for me. Nevertheless, we head down to Pasir Ris to set up our display. It was pretty massive, juz beside the MRT station, Defence Minister Teo Chee Hean was there. Saw a lot of anti-terrorism stuff from SCDF n SPF, it was an eye opener. Lucky that we didn't have enough space, a lot of our stuff were not shown, reducing my work load. Phew~ The weather got hotter as the day progressed, by the time everything ends at 11.30am, the sun was shining at its full effect. Ying came to find me n i showed her some of my unit's stuff. Quite surprised she came but she was actually out buying breakfast. Haha, her sleepy looks even at 11plus juz made me feel even more tired. Thankfully, my PS allowed me to head back straight home, no need to go back camp, guess it's cos i still have duty tomorrow. Ya, passed the lighter i bought on behalf of the platoon to the legendary CSM. He looked like a guilty man. I mean, he should feel that way. For all the "tekan" he had given us, he's lucky we didn't burn his car. Before going off, he looked sad. It's obvious he is very attached to 39SCE. It's always more glamourous to be the CSM of a special force company than a specialist instructor. He's the kind that's very proud of his work.Squeezing my shoulder with his muscular arm, he asked me to take care. Yeah, gd luck to those trainees at SOCE. Haha.. Tired, i slept till 7pm after reaching home. The week has ended, it's a very long n tiring one. Book in again tomorrow for duty while my fellow company mates slack at home. Alpha Company won't be the same again with a different CSM. Let's hope my life will be better now that my bastard ex-PC n "garang" CSM is gone. Oh ya, Fathers' Day today.. Hmm, the older i grow, the more i know how difficult it is to be a father. Thanks dad, for bringing me up. I hope i can be a good father n good husband in the future.. |
