AutoWealth vs Syfe

Hi all, it's been quite a while since I've last written in this space. This post shall serve the purpose of keeping a record of the investment I am trying out with two robo-advisors in Singapore. There are quite a handful of such tools currently in the market, the reason I chose these are listed below.

Syfe
- Simple interface
- Lowest fees
- Seems to have pretty good returns

AutoWealth
- Safe investment with its Saxo collaboration
- Low fees
- Seems to be in the biz for the long run

Of course, these are my personal reasons and no robo has a one-size-fits-all package for everyone. They all invest in different products with different algorithms at different fees. You have to find out which suits you best with the various reviews done by the handful of financial blogs.

For a start, you have to decide what is your personal risk appetite. Fret not, these robo tools have a way to decide and gauge your risk level by asking you a few questions regarding your purpose for the investment and what is the expected outcome you're looking for. Pretty simple stuff to get you started.

AutoWealth do have a minimum amount which you have to put in n that is S$3000 to start things off. Syfe on the other hand do not have such a restriction. Therefore, I've decided to put in S$3050 into each account before the end of 2019.

AutoWealth has a four level system - Level One being most conservative n Level Four most risky
Syfe has a system based on 25% points - 5% least risky to 25% most risky

What those risk levels actually mean are very different definitions with different robo, so you have to do your homework on which is more suitable for you. Here's mine below

AutoWealth - Level Three (60% Equities/40$ Govt Bonds)
Syfe - 19% Downside Risk

Being an investment noob, I ain't really sure if the risk profiles for both actually match to allow the comparison to compete fairly. For simplicity sake, they're both at the 75th percentile of risk profile available for selection.

I will be depositing some money into each account at the end of every month and see what sort of returns I'm getting by the end of 2020. This post will be updated with details at the end of every month, so do stay tuned.
