It's no use scolding her now

As his daughter lay fighting for her life in hospital, he watched with regret from outside the glass panel of her hospital room.

Mr Chen Jing Cai's daughter, Miss Chen Jin Yu, 22, is in critical condition at the intensive care unit of the National University Hospital (NUH).

She suffered fractures on her right arm and internal injuries after an accident on the PIE near Clementi early yesterday morning.

What the young woman ma not know is that her friend, Miss Tan Lai Chan, 20, a student, is dead.

Miss Chen was riding a motorbike with Miss Tan on the pillion when the accident happened.

Mr Chen said he and his wife had warned Miss Chen about the dangers of riding a motorbike even before she started riding one.

===================================================

A happy countdown event turned tragic. Read this article on the TNP ystd over breakfast. I hope the rider is getting better now in ICU. As for the pillion rider, my condolences to her family. It's such a waste to leave this world at 20yrs of age; so young so pretty.

Riding is never safe, even if u're a safe driver, cos cock drivers are in abundance nowadays. Avoid riding if possible.

It feels weird seeing those "are now friends" messages now that she's gone.
