Six Days to Surgery

Didn’t blog ystd, was too tired. One very big thing I accomplished ystd was I didn’t even play a second of Need For Speed. I kept my promise, went for a bike spin, hit the beach, ran a little, did a little static training and tanned under the fabulous sun. Haha, I ended up having muscle aches n sun burnt skin. I’m as red hot as a barbequed lobster now.

Dad left for Thailand this morning with the GRC group. Damn, he’s away, but I can’t drive. What the heck, I want my license! He has never traveled so much in a year b4, I think he broke his own record. Oh well, my whole of today was spent in Singapore General Hospital(SGH), arranging my knee surgery which is on next Thursday, 22nd of Dec. I guess I'll have to limp during Christmas celebration. Most of my time at the hospital was spent on waiting, waiting, n waiting. Reached there at 9am, left at 5pm. It was so bored, I almost died on the chair waiting for my number to appear on the screen. The doctors talked to me about the key-hole surgery n I’m now starting to get little cold feet. I want to have a general anaesthetize, or else I’ll start having nightmares when I hear the equipment drilling into my knee if I’m not in full unconsciousness.

N yes, I got jabbed TWICE. No, I’m not afraid of having injections; the needles on the syringe are nothing. What I’m sick of is the drawing of blood, I hate the huge needle. On my 1st draw, the doctor drew 3 tubes of blood, I have no idea why she needs so much. When the result came out, she said there’s an unusually high amount of Potassium in my blood n asked me whether I had a lot of bananas. What?? Bananas? Ok, I only had a banana cup cake as breakfast b4 leaving the house, but it’s not fresh bananas! I wonder where the heck the Potassium came from. Then all the nurses around the clinic started talking about bananas to me. Kaoz-! So ya, to confirm it’s not a fluke, she drew another sample, this time from my right arm. WTF, I now has 2 needle holes on my arms. Ouch, it still hurts when I exert some strength. Fine, at least the doc that drew my blood is a pretty lady, looking at her eased half of the pain I’m having. Hai, it was kinda scary I had to face all these alone today, which brought my mind to her again.

Thinking of the angel, I saw her sis while on my way back home. She still looks the same. The N Level results is coming out on Monday, good luck to her.

Hopefully, things will go smoothly on the surgery. I’m going for the sea sports club alumni sea expedition tmr at Kallang Basin n Marina Promenade. I’ll need lots of sun block lotion to protect my already burning skin. It’s been long since I last canoe in Kallang, really missed that place. It’s the place where our love blossomed, I can sense her presence everywhere over there.

Ok, enough of the sad stuff. I’ll be back tmr with pics from the event. Gd bye folks!
